＜Reading＞and one of my favorite books is Kaido wo Yuku (On the highways), a series of travel essays written by Ryotaro Shiba who is widely known for his many novels based on historical events. In this series, Shiba described the place and people he visited including foreign countries with historical, cultural, geographical and economic perspectives.
